penny: you were a ballerina mouse for halloween and it was love at first sight between you and that tutu. you ask to wear your costume nearly everyday, and nearly everyday we say to you "go for it!". after all, there are only so many years you can get away with wearing a full leotard/tutu combo every waking moment.

penny: a little old macdonald video in bed never did hurt anyone!

penny: a rainy day spent taking you for a walk down mama's memory lane. we watched charlotte's web (my favorite childhood movie), and played multiple rounds of candyland. it was a good good day for sure!

penny: we did a little weekend camping trip with a few of your cousins. you really seem to dig this camping thing. perhaps it's the vegan s'mores, the staying up late partying, or the getting every inch of yourself covered in dirt. whatever the reason... you're a fan!

penny: we did a walk recently to help raise money for farm sanctuary. you've really begun to understand the reasons our family is vegan. hearing your tiny voice ask if something is vegan, and when you tell people that we don't eat animals because they're our friends, well it's all enough to make my mama heart melt into a sappy mess.

penny: hopscotch in your cousins hand-me-down pjs. mornings with you are pretty cute!

penny: this will forever be the summer of chalk & water paintings on the back porch, all while wearing a (usually purple) "dancing shirt". always, the "dancing shirt"!

penny: the "dancing shirt" phase (notice the purple peeking out yet again) is starting to spill over into a "dancing shirt" with "dancing skirt" phase. you have strong opinions on your clothing and i don't dare mess with it!
