leslie + ben, always and forever...

i've been finding some time between chasing a crazy almost 2 year old, photo editing, laundry, and out of town trips, to stitch up some new goodies for my shop. this one is a favorite for sure. if you're not already watching parks & rec you should probably schedule a weekend date with netflix and your couch, and catch up on every single episode. i mean really, how is it that it just keeps getting better?!?

on a chilly november morning i met up with alli + ryan at an abandoned reform school. the leaves were beautiful, the light was gorgeous, and the love these two have for each other shot right through my lens...

penny: i introduced you to painting this week, or as you call in "peentin". you had so much fun mixing colors, swirling the paint around on the paper, and eventually painting your hands and belly. we've painted almost every day since, and i don't think the art school graduate in me could be any more proud of you.

i had a little engagement photoshoot with alli + ryan this past weekend at an abandoned reform school. it was equal parts beautiful & creepy. just the way i like it!

i realize this may be terribly gross to anyone who is not a parent, but in keeping with the honesty of this project, this is what much of our week looked like...

penny: you had a cold this week, and you had no shame in clearing out your nose any time you felt the need. to your credit, i did tell you that blowing your nose would help you feel better, but i forgot to mention that it's best to wait for mommy to get you a tissue before doing so. silly mama, still learning the hard way just how literal you take me.
