penny: we drove up to charlotte for the weekend to spend some time with your cousins (whom you haven't seen since christmas!), and to grab the last bit of our stuff that has been in storage for about 2.5 years now. it was a whirlwind of a trip, and made me realize we really should be making this drive way more often then we currently do. summer goals!

penny: we took an after dinner walk and came to a field of wildflowers at the end of our block. so just as the last bit of sunlight was setting behind the trees, i carried you over some questionable tangled weeds and we helped ourselves to a lovely bouquet.

penny: now that the warmer weather is here we've been spending as much time as possible outdoors. running through the sprinkler, gardening, picnics... we're both just better people when the sun is on our faces.

penny: we've had been keeping this secret from you for almost 2 months! our decision to not tell you until we were ready to tell everyone was completely validated when we walked into your school the next day and you announced proudly to all within earshot "i'm having a baby!!!". to say you're very excited would be an understatement!
