If you’re interested in booking a family, maternity, newborn, heck, even new puppy shoot with me, first, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! It’s an honor for me to be invited to witness the bond between your family and my pleasure to document it for you! As for logistics… we can absolutely make this happen! First we’ll talk dates and location, then we’ll nail down that time! Ideal times are mornings or late afternoons. Nothing quite compares to that glowy warm light, but with that said, there’s wiggle room in the time depending on the light where we decide to meet. People often wonder what they should wear during their session. Aside from making sure you’re totally comfortable, the only other thing is this… Imagine yourself getting a big beautiful print of an image we make that you’ll lovingly be hanging on your living room wall. Now just think if you’d like to be looking at little Alfred wearing his fluorescent orange sponge bob shirt on your wall every day for years to come. If you’re cool with it, I’m cool with it. And that’s how you can assess what to wear during your session. Easy peasy!

Now for some specifics as to what to expect. And the one thing, above all else, that we’ll aim for is some stress free time for you! Just know that yes, things will not go as you planned. Kids are pros at that! Will one kid spill a drink on themselves? Perhaps. Will the baby have a poop explosion up the back of their onesie? Probably. Will nobody in whole family sit still for even a second? You can bet on it! Heck, maybe even Mom has pink eye! Will we still get incredible images? Absolutely!!! The only thing I ask of parents is to just say YES to it all! The rotten kids are for me to deal with, because honestly rotten often photographs really well! So laugh through it all (because that too photographs really well!) and find comfort in knowing that I’ve had every bit of rotten in front of my lens and it’s all OK! So let’s do this. Let’s agree to show up together and hold space for your family to be who they are. Because there is so much beauty in the honesty of just that.
