it never occurred to me...
i knew when we moved from charlotte to atlanta that there would definitely be a period of transition for penny. i expected to sleep disturbances, i was prepared for the possibility of cranky afternoons, but what caught me completely off guard was just how much she asks for her best little bud that we left behind.

down on the farm...
this weekend our little family (and that includes our best buds. ie, extended family) loaded up with snacks and headed on out to the pumpkin patch. lemme just tell you about the wonder that was that afternoon. we got to hang with the likes of horses, cows, a rooster, some chickens, what may or may not have been quail, and one rather aloof donkey named cracker jack. it was great. it was free. and somehow none of us left with a pumpkin. too early in the season if ya ask me...

park days...
a few more pictures from this day. penny and i packed up a little dinner, met evan at his office, and walked on over to this new park downtown. we stuffed our faces and then ran around while the sun set along side us. it was basically my definition of a perfect friday night. my my how times have changed...
