penny: it's no secret that you love the snow, and i couldn't help but love it a little more too when seeing it through your eyes.

the ice storm...

on wednesday we were hit with the most gorgeous, albeit inconvenient, of ice storms. i took a few minutes to myself to walk around the quiet city and just listen to it fall. it was beautiful, and it sounded a little something like this. jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer jenn pierce, atlanta ga photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga photographer

penny: a few weeks ago when we were on our way to target, we parked in the underground parking garage, and proceeded to make our way up stairs. you stopped to play with a dinosaur you had with you that day, and i was floored by the incredible light on those steps. sadly though, i only had my phone with me that day. however, seeing as you're the daughter of a photographer, naturally i would take you back to that very spot and have you sit there again while i capture it with my real camera. thank you for being such a good sport about it. i'm sure this won't be the last time that happens.

stir crazy days...

between the freezing temperatures, the snow storm, and some tough teething days sprinkled in there, we've been stuck indoors and feeling fairly stir crazy. as luck would have it though, the universe gave us one glorious day of temps in the 60's... and we ran with it! we spent the afternoon exploring a little park by our home. we collected rocks, examined fallen branches, and stomped in the last bits of snow on the ground. now if only this weather would grace us with its presence again! jenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographerjenn pierce, atlanta ga family photographer

penny: we got a whole 2 inches of snow this week, and one would have thought you won the lottery. you jumped, threw snow balls, and ate your weight in the chilly fluffy white stuff. after a few days of the snow sitting out though i had to teach you about not eating the dirty spots. your words, said with 100% sass, were as follows... "penny. no. eat. garbage. snow. mommy!"

more from this day here.
