penny: this was taken 3 days before the first easter where you really 'got it', 1 day before your mama came down with some crazy violent stomach thing, and about 2 minutes before you took a tumble down some concrete steps you were playing on. you cried at first, but then laughed and said "silly penny!". you're a rough and tumble little gal, and now have a cut and bruise on your head to prove it!

penny: this look. i've felt this very look on my own face a good number of times before. seeing it reflected back at me is one of the craziest motherhood moments for sure. i kinda love it!

penny: our city is warming up, spring is officially here, and your mama is more than excited about this. we spent our first 80 degree atlanta day walking around our neighborhood, running around the park, and eating popsicles. happy doesn't even really begin to describe it!
