penny: here you are on one of our last days in italy, sitting on a big girl swing for the very first time. the fact that it was overlooking a vineyard on the italian countryside was just an added bonus to this perfectly perfect moment...

i'm just starting to go through all the pictures from our italy trip and i couldn't resist making a little collection of these gems. the ergo carrier was a lifesaver for us while we traveled. penn would catch a nap while we walked (and walked, and walked), then wake up somewhere new ready for another adventure.

penny: this was taken while we were still overseas, traveling down the french riviera. you ran around monte carlo like a little wild woman, and were so excited when it started to rain on us. your love for exploring really shown through while we were abroad, and i will forever be telling you stories of 'that time you went to italy'...

penny: a bit of an 'un-portrait' this week for you my little lady. oh, these silly little unicorn shoes. you've wanted no other shoes on your feet this week except for these. they're getting scuffed, beat up, and muddy, but you still love them. i can't blame you one bit, they look like slippers, and the way you shuffle around the house in them i'd swear you were a little old man looking for your sunday paper. for your sake (and let's be honest, mine too!) i hope they hold up for many more weeks to come!

tomorrow evan, penny, and i are hopping on a plane to head to NY. then the following day we'll be off to Italy for 10 days. things will probably be fairly quiet around here seeing as i'm not quite sure what our internet situation will be over there. i hope to be able to check in here or on instagram, but if not i shall return with fabulous pictures to share.

penny: you're really starting to find your love for baby dolls. you rock them to sleep, swaddle them, and even give them a good burping when needed. sure you swaddled one in a freezer bag, and burped another by beating it on the ground, but your little mommy skills are improving and it cracks me up daily.
