penny + clementine: we had a few 70 degree days this week. the perfect mid-winter break from the cold. we spent those afternoons hanging out in the backyard with stella. clem, you were happy to just stare into the tree tops and feel the warm breeze. penny, you and stella took the fun up a notch by getting yourselves covered head to toe in mud. and now we all can't wait for spring!
penny + clementine: lately my favorite images are just the ones of the two of you simply playing. and by playing, i mean penny placing random items on or around clem and finding it to be the funniest thing in the world. you're a really good sport, clem!

first they were predicting 6 inches, then 3, then 1... we woke early and saw that we had gotten zero snow. the freezing rain we did get though was beautiful enough to make us not mind at all. also... when you're a kid in the south sometimes you go sledding on a sheet of ice, sitting on a rubbermaid container lid, on a hill in your backyard, and you think it's the greatest thing in the world. here's to simple pleasures!
