penny: mornings lately, after our snuggles in bed, followed by breakfast, and seeing daddy off to work, you and i retire to the back porch for a little coffee (for me) and chalk (for you). the sun is still coming up over the trees, the full heat of the day is not quite upon us yet, and we just enjoy our slow start. this is my favorite part of the day, and i don't think you mind it one bit either.

penny: this picture pretty accurately sums up your enthusiasm for caterpillars. they are currently the love of your life, and daddy and i are just pretty lucky to come in second and third.

penny: we introduced you to cereal this week, and i do believe it was love at first sight. you've had all the components before, strawberries, bananas, cheerios... but once combined, and topped with almond milk, it was like you saw them all in a whole new light. 4 bowls later and i was a believer in their powers too!
