"a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."
penny: you and i had the brilliant idea to go and meet daddy on his lunch break at this amazing little splash fountain by his office. we both had a grand old time getting good and soaked. i'm fairly certain that we'll be spending many an afternoon here this summer. you and water are pretty much best buds these days.
and because it's impossible for me to only share one from this day, i've added a few extra...

more of this adventure to come!
see the first post here, and lots more pics can be seen here!

italy, part I, the first 2 days

our first day in italy we were all pretty exhausted. we landed, drove the two hours from milan to torino, and then spent the rest of the day getting settled, drinking lots of coffee, and walking around a gorgeous park that was a five minute walk from the house we were staying in. we said ciao to cows, goats, sheep, dogs, and italians. it was the perfect welcome to italy!
(and if you like, many more pics from these 2 days can be seen here)

on day two we took the bus into the city of torino and spent the day walking around, sight seeing, eating vegan gelato, and letting penny splash in any bit of water she could find... good times were had!

going through all of our pictures is just making me ache to go back again. i'm pretty sure penny had the time of her life, and her dad and i most definitely did. why can't ever day be a vacation, amiright?!?!

happy memorial day!

i love me some memorial day! it's the start of summer, there's always a cookout to attend, and i get an extra day off with that man of mine that i love so much. what could be better! we started the festivities yesterday with a little family friendly hang out at a local bar. i know what you may be thinking, "you have a baby... in a bar?!?!". really though, it was all (pretty much) on the up and up. babies, bikers, and bars, that's apparently how we roll...

and obviously this day is about a whole lot more then just a long weekend and some good food, so THANK YOU to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives so that we could be so obnoxiously lazy for a few days. seriously, how did this holiday just become an excuse to have some parties? either way, i'm very grateful!
